August 2010:
MCWM finished the latest extension of its Sanitary Landfill. with an additional
2.8 hectare in its Phase 1Ba, MCWM has now about 7.5 hectare disposal
area.

October 2010:
The United Nation Framework Convention on Climate Change
(UNFCCC) approved finally MCWM's 'Clean Development Mechanism (CDM)'
Project for the "
Utilization of Landfill Gas". The Project was registered as
CDM eligible Project on October 07.

April 2011:
MCWM started the implementation of its 1st phase for its Landfill Gas (LFG)
capture system.
October 2011:
the LFG Flare starts its operation with about 300m3/h landfill gas
December 2012:
Start of construction of Phase 4a with about 35,000m2 pit area
April 2013
The extension Phase 4a is mostly finished, the available disposal capacity is
right now more than
2 million tons of waste. The also installed additional
Leachate Treatment Pond with more than 20,000 m3 capacity is ready to
scope with the expected increase of Leachate from the new Landfill area.
